Colombia Names Squad to Face Mexico

The Colombian National Team announced today the 22-man roster for its game against Mexico at Miami's Sun Life Stadium on Wednesday, February 29 at 8 p.m. ET. This match will be Colombia’s first game under the direction of new head coach, Argentine Jose Pékerman. The game is being played as part of Mexico’s five-game 2012 US Tour.

Led by captain Mario Yepes from Italy’s AC Milan, the roster features star forward Radamel Falcao Garcia from Atlético de Madrid, currently with 14 goals in Spain’s La Liga, and young midfield sensation James Rodriguez from Portugual’s FC Porto.

The match between Colombia and Mexico in Miami will mark the 28th encounter between the teams, with a record of 12-9-6 in favor if “El Tri”. The last meeting between the two ended with a 1-0 Mexico victory in 2011.
