Dempsey Goal Not Enough for Fulham

Clint Dempsey continues to pace Fulham but his goal was not enough as Fulham had to settle for a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion at Craven Cottage on Wednesday evening. The U.S. international opening the scoring in the 69th minute but it was cancelled out by Somen Tchoyi in the 82nd minute.

The Costa Rican looked set to shoot from the top of the box before cutting it back to Dempsey making a run to the penalty spot. Dempsey one touched the ball back to the far corner.

The goal continues Dempsey’s fine form. The Texas native has scored 7 goals in the last 5 games and 16 in all competitions.

After Tchoyi leveled matters, Dempsey should have headed in the winner when he had an open header from the 6-yards out but could not manage to put the ball on goal.
