Newcastle United unveiled their 2015/16 home jersey today and will debut it in their final match of the season against West Ham at St James Park on Sunday. The match could determine whether this is the jersey the Magpies wear in next seasons Premier League or the Championship.
The look from technical sponsor Puma does a great job of keeping to tradition while bringing in a modern edge. The jersey uses the traditional vertical stripes with the stripes black and white at the top of the jersey. The black stripes fade to a black and blue as they run below the Wonga sponsorship logo.
A solid blue detailing is used on the v-neck collar and the piping that runs from down each side of the sleeve ending at the blue sleeve cuff.
The back of the jersey is solid white with a blue color black around the waist which will presumably tucked in while the player is wearing the jersey. A small black triangle with ‘NUFC’ is positioned under the back of the collar.
But don’t be looking for this complete look that Fabricio Coloccini modeled for the club today. Wonga updated their logo earlier in the week so this logo will no longer be used on the jersey.
