Among the Barclays Premier League’s best-supported teams, Newcastle United Football Club has had a floundering start to the season with just three points from five matches played. Things could’ve been worse for the Magpies had substitute Papiss Cisse not scored twice in the last eighteen minutes of Saturday’s match with Hull City to rescue a point for under fire manager Alan Pardew and his team.

With fans now calling for Pardew’s sacking and trips to the usually formidable Stoke City and Swansea looming it comes with little surprise that Newcastle United has looked to the better days of their past for their 2014/15 PUMA third kit.

The newly launched jersey uses dark blue and bright green halves in a design that was selected by their fans via the club’s online forum. It is based on the third shirt worn by NUFC legends such as Andy Cole, Peter Beardsley and Lee Clark from the very successful 1993 to 1995 period. It is matched with lime green shorts and dark blue socks.

Newcastle United FC will debut their new look alternate kit on September 29th when they attempt to kick start their season against Stoke at the Britannia Stadium.
