The New Zealand Junior Ferns were drawn with Paraguay, France and Costa Rica during Saturday’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup draw.
Earlier in the week, New Zealand soccer fans got their first look at the national team’s 2014-15 home kit from Nike that will be worn at the U-20s and over the course of the next year by all Kiwi teams.
The new jersey features is in the classic white of New Zealand with the NZ Football crest and Nike swoosh embroidered on the front in a stylish gray. Player name and numbers are in the same color to give the shirt a tonal feel. New Zealand’s 2014-15 home shirt has cuffs on each sleeve that can be flipped over to reveal a silver fern design. The new kit shorts is completed by all white shorts and socks.
The only undefeated team in the 2010 FIFA World Cup (with draws against Italy, Slovakia and Paraguay), the All Whites missed out on qualifying for Brazil 2014 when they lost 9-3 on aggregate in an intercontinental playoff.
