While still clinging to hopes of a postseason berth for this term, Los Angeles boss Bruce Arena hos gotten in an early declaration that fans can expect a better Galaxy outfit next year.

The former USMNT coach took over for Ruud Gullit with the team in a mighty swoon and things have been slow to improve at the Home Depot Center.

"I certainly understood coming in this would be a challenge," Arena told the San Diego Union Tribune. "And it's every bit a challenge as I anticipated... there is a lot of work to do."

"Given some of our issues with the salary cap and everything else, it certainly won't change overnight, but I can promise you this team will be a better team next year."
