Cronin: Boot It Away!

Los Angeles netminder Steve Cronin believes that the defense in front of him needs to become more satisfied with the easy clear if they hope to take advantage of their MLS-leading offense to the fullest.
The Home Depot Center crew top the league charts in both goals for and against, but their keeper suggests the simple approach - especially after restarts - could end up helping them climb the standings just as well.
"I think a lot of our goals haven't directly come from set pieces, but shortly after," noted Cronin to MLSNet.
"We're worried about passing the ball out of the back in those instances instead of just kicking it up to our forwards or another end of the field and working out from there," he asserted. "It just comes back to being as safe as possible in the defensive third."
