"We've had very positive discussions with U.S. Soccer," he told the Kansas City Star. "I think they believe Kansas City would provide a really good home-field advantage for all of their national teams - not just the men's national team, but the women's, the under-20s and all that sort of stuff."
"We are going to be very active in the international games market to try and promote games in our stadium, not just between the Wizards and international teams, but international team against international team," added Heineman.
"Wouldn't it be great if River Plate played Boca Juniors or wouldn't it be great if Real Madrid played in Kansas City? That's something that's very interesting to us and something we're going to work very hard to make happen."
