Carlos Ruiz returned to the line-up to net his first goal of the season near the half hour, but Dave van den Bergh fired home from distance six minutes later to pull the Red Bulls even.

Juan Pablo Angel scored on a fine individual effort to give New York the lead with 19 minutes to play, only to have a Landon Donovan cross land in the net in stoppage time.

Colorado pulled the same feat as the Galaxy at FC Dallas, going ahead early, only to be forced to tally for a 2-2 share.

Herculez Gomez connected for the Rapids after just five minutes, but early second half goals from All-Stars Kenny Cooper and Juan Carlos Toja flipped the scoreline.

Conor Casey was able to reply three minutes later to earn the visitors a point.

Elsewhere, Chicago hosted a wild 0-0 with Real Salt Lake that saw each team find the woodwork.

In the first half, RSL forward Yura Movsisyan pinged the bar early and Chad Barrett caught the post at the other end.

Finally, San Jose battled out a scoreless draw at Toronto FC, who are no unbeaten at home in 11.

Darren Huckerby, Francisco Lima and Scott Sealy each made debut starts for the Quakes.

Meanwhile, in SuperLiga action, Houston closed in on a semifinal place by topping hosts D.C. United 3-1.

First half goals from Ricardo Clark and Bobby Boswell put the Dynamo in cruise, and a pull back tally by Francis Doe in the 76th minute was quickly canceled by Stuart Holden.
