Though he is not exactly looking back in anger, Toronto FC striker Chad Barrett did admit it would be nice to find the net when former club Chicago comes to town this weekend.
The former Fire Man has notched four goals in 11 games since arriving this summer in the Brian McBride deal, which he says was a tough pill to swallow as coach Denis Hamlett left him hanging for a few days while they talked contract with the U.S. Olympian.
"It'll be fun, but I'm going to take it very serious," Barrett told the Chicago Tribune. "I'm not going to sit here and say I want to shove it in Denis' face - but I would like to make a statement."
"I thought it was going to be either Chris Rolfe or Justin Mapp," he said, looking back at the run-up to the trade. "But then I get a call an hour before the All-Star Game saying I had been traded."
"I was very surprised, I didn't take it very well."
