Dwayne De Rosario bagged a late spot kick as defending champs Houston posted their first win of the season with a 2-1 decision over visiting Colorado.

Brian Ching opened near the break, but Omar Cummings knotted matters in the 68th minute to set up's De Rosario's heroics.

Elsewhere, Columbus outgunned San Jose 3-2 to reclaim the top spot in the East.

Ramiro Corrales put the guests up before halftime, but a Robbie Rogers double inside of eight minutes flipped the scoreline.
