Manchester United launched their third jersey for the 2016/17 season featuring a bold look that represents the club’s origins as Newton Heath LYR Football Club.
The shirt stands-out thanks to the hexagon patterns on the sleeves inspired by the working bee in the city of Manchester’s coat of arms, a symbol of the characteristic hard work and determination from the city inhabitants that the club has inherited to build their path to the top.
Manchester United badge sits proudly over the heart in a grey monochromatic version with the adidas Performance logo on the right and chest and fully colored Chevrolet sponsor logo across the chest. The v-cut collar features black trimming and a bi-color inner tag with the club’s most famous nickname, The Red Devils.
The iconic adidas 3-Stripes run down the sides of the jersey connecting with the white lines from the grey shorts. White socks with grey detailing complete the alternative look that will be debuted by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and others when Manchester United play away at Bournemouth on Sunday 14th August.
The Manchester United 2016/17 third jersey is available to purchase at World Soccer Shop.
