Back in 2014 Adidas announced their return as official partners of Manchester United, one of the most popular clubs around the globe. The three stripes had previously adorned the Red Devils’ gear from 1980 to 1992, producing some memorable jerseys accompanied by a few titles.
Following the competition jerseys reveal in August, a new fashion collection has been unveiled today. The new Adidas Originals apparel commemorates the FA Cup victory in 1985, when Manchester United beat Everton at the old Wembley Stadium. That roster is remembered by being the first FA Cup winning team to feature only players who had played for their respective national teams.
Replica versions of the players and GK’s jerseys are part of the collection, as well as jackets that mimic the iconic Superstar style from back then. Every piece features the old Manchester United crest, as well as the Adidas Originals logo, that used to be present in all the official gear before being replaced by the current performance logo.
Some extra pieces complete the full range of products inspired by the Red Devils, including a retro home jersey, two tees, training suits and even a classic hat.
