The jersey’s main focus is tradition with the unmovable sky blue body combined with darker sleeves which take their hue from the new crest and highlight the athlete’s body.
The updated badge takes some elements from the past and modernizes them, resulting in the iconic Manchester ship, three rivers, red rose of Lancashire and Mancester City’s foundation year coming together in an all-new circular design.
Nike Vapor AeroSwift enhance mobility and supports the player’s performance by reducing weight and incorporating elite materials to deliver comfort. Knitted sleeves hug the arms, and engineered knit and mesh zones keep players cool and dry while also creating a modern look.
Dark stripes adorn the sides of the jersey, and are continued on the sky blue shorts to enhance the visual impact of players in movement. Clean white socks complete the new Citizen home uniform.
The goalkeeper home kit was also revealed, featuring an eye-catching look in fluorescent yellow with dark accents and all the Nike Vapor AeroSwift features.
The Manchester City 2016/17 home jersey will be available at World Soccer Shop on July 14th.
