Liverpool FC unveiled their 2015/16 home jersey earlier this month and confirmed this week that Standard Charter will continue to be the jersey sponsor. The global banking organization inked a new 3-year contract that will see their brand be on the front of the Liverpool jersey through the 2018/19 Premier League season.

The deal is rumored to be $45 million per season.  The current deal which was signed 2 years ago was for $30 million per year but it is known Liverpool were looking for a better deal.

“At the end of this term we will have been working in partnership with Standard Charted for almost a decade and we continue to collaborate on our shared values, passion and commitment to the community,” Billy Hogan, Liverpool FC’s chief commercial officer, said.

The partnership has brought great exposure to the bank as well as it’s Seeing is Believing campaign aimed at ending avoidable blindness.  The Standard Charter logo is replaced with the Seeing is Believing logo on front of the jersey during the season.

Standard Charter is only the 5th sponsor of the Liverpool jersey over the 40 years since the club first signed a sponsor.  The other sponsors are Hitachi, Crown, Candy, and Carlsberg.
