Borussia Dortmund has been one of Germany’s top club teams over the past 3 seasons.  Jurgen Klopp’s side won back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2010/11 and 2011/12 and made a run to the UEFA Champions League final in 2013.

The Christmas jersey, or winter kit, is a tradition of The Black and Yellows.  This year’s jersey pays tribute to the many fans of the club.  The graphic element on the top third of the jersey is a print of the fans in the stands at the Signal Iduna Park, better known to the fans as the Westfalenstadion. Different photos are used for each jersey.

The jersey brought the team some good luck as they put a 6-1 beat-down on Stuttgart in the jersey’s debut.  Robert Lewandowski paced the way with a 2nd half hat-trick.  Dortmund is scheduled to wear the jersey regularly through the end of year holiday period.
