Leicester City will make a bold statement when they travel for away matches next season after unveiling their 2016/17 away jersey in May. The club along with official kit sponsor Puma designed a red jersey for the Foxes title defense.
“The kit looks fantastic – it’s a great design that I’m sure the fans will love,” Leicester City captain Wes Morgan said at the launch event. “When you’re on the way to an away game and you see the fans out in force, decked out in their colours, it’s a brilliant feeling. It always feels like we’re in it together.”
The red jersey features a gradient effect with dark red at the top of the jersey fading to light red at the bottom of the jersey. The color shift is achieved with darker diagonal lines used over 5 subtly included hoops with the diagonal lines wider at the top of the jersey.
The base light red at the bottom of the jersey is used for the casual button-less polo style collar with the same color extending in a wide stripe down the shoulder and sleeve to a wide sleeve cuff.
Leicester City’s club badge in blue stands out on the red background. The Puma logo is in white over the right chest and the King Power jersey sponsor in white across the front of the jersey.
The full kit is completed with red shorts and red socks.
