In celebration of 8th annual World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, World Soccer Shop is auctioning off a custom pair of Kickasso Kustoms soccer cleats. The auction will run on Tuesday through Friday with the winning bid announced on Friday afternoon.
Thanks for all the bids on the Kickasso Kustom cleat. The winning bid was from a collector in Thailand with a winning bid of $1,325.00 with all the proceeds going to the Autism Society of Alabama.
Place your bid for the World Autism Awareness Day Nike Hypervenom Custom Kickasso Football Boots on eBay.
The Nike HyperVenom serves as the canvas for this one-of-a-kind art work. The Clearwater/Blue Lagoon colorway worked perfectly for this project with the color tying in to the Light It Up Blue 2015 campaign. Autism Speaks is asking people to use the #LIUB to share your experience on social media.
“The Autism Society of Alabama is very thrilled about the new Kickasso Kustom Cleat because it pulls in a new avenue to spread autism awareness and acceptance,” Lauren Reid, Fundraising and Events Manager, told 365.WorldSoccerShop. “Sports! April allows us to put our mission to educate and advocate for families affected by ASD (autism spectrum disorders) even more in the spotlight because people all over the country are lighting it up blue to raise awareness worldwide.”
The autism puzzle piece iconic symbol is represented with multiple piece in varying sizes and shapes on the upper and the Nike Swoosh made to look like a puzzle. The puzzle symbolism was created by the National Autistic Society in 1963. The puzzle pieces with their varying sizes and shapes represent the varying aspects of autism and the diversity of the people it affects.
The funds raised go to the Autism Society of Alabama.
