In response to a challenge from the club before the semifinal against Real Madrid, De Marchi said he would walk from Turin to Berlin, the site of the 2015 UEFA Champions League final, a 683 mile trek if the Old Lady made the final knowing a seat at the Olympiastadion awaited him. The club selected his challenge and De Marchi’s journey started with a single step.
