Adnan Januzaj is hoping his new look impressed head coach Louis van Gaal. The Belgian international was given his first Premier League start of the season for Manchester United on Monday and trotted out with a pair of all-white Warrior cleats. The Red Devils had to fight back to earn a 2-2 draw with West Brom.
The all-white cleats look to be from Warrior Supereat silo. The lightweight cleat is designed for speed and acceleration.
Januzaj was spotted wearing the new cleats last week at Manchester United’s Carrington training facility. Prior to stepping out in his new look, Januzaj wore the Nike Mercurial Superfly.
The Baltimore based company has been making a strong push into the soccer market for the last 2+ years. They are the apparel sponsor for Liverpool and the cleat sponsor for the likes of Liverpool’s Kolo Toure, Hull City’s Tom Ince, Manchester City’s Vincent Kompany, and fortunately for the Red Devils Marouane Fellaini. The big-hired Belgian scored the first goals for Manchester United on Monday.
Warrior cleats, the Skreamer II, have knocked in 5 goals this Premier League season.
Januzaj has not officially put pen to paper on a deal with Warrior but it appears to be the next step in the relationship.
