Colombia’s James Rodriguez ran past opponents with 6 goals on his way to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot award.  The play of the 23-year-old made Real Madrid take notice and sign the player for a $101 million transfer fee from Monaco.

At Real Madrid he has joined an all-star squad that includes the lethal attack of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, to list a few.  The new look Galacticos are hoping to become the first team to repeat as European Champions in the UEFA Champions League era and reclaim the title of La Liga champions.

Icons, the world’s leading football memorabilia brand, was quick to spot the rising talent and signed him to their all-star roster as well.

“James is likely to be a mega-star over the coming years,” Icons Dan Jamieson said about the midfielder. “He’s popular, charismatic, good looking, has wide appeal and plays his game in an exciting skillful fashion.”

“Icons first signed with Leo Messi when he was 17 and Cristiano Ronaldo when he first arrived in Manchester, and look at them both now, so we have a history of talent spotting the next world Icon.”

James and Icons will sit down together at a hotel near the player’s home in Madrid for the first signing session that will include Real Madrid jerseys, Colombia jerseys, adidas cleats, Colombia World Cup photos, Real Madrid UEFA Champions League photos and adidas soccer balls.

It will be an unparalleled collection!
