4-time FIFA World Cup champion, Italy, revealed a stylish new away jersey in cooperation with technical sponsor PUMA in Florence on Wednesday. The Azzuri will debut the new look in their EURO 2016 qualifier against Malta on Thursday.
The Italy away jersey is a classic white with blue detailing and the colors from the Italian flag. The jersey has a blue collar and a thick shoulder stripe on the sleeves with thin gold trim and the PUMA cat logo on each shoulder.
The main feature for the jersey is the sublimated print stripe styled like the Italian flag with blue and gold outlines that runs down the center of the shirt. The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) badge is in the center of the chest.
The shirt also has a faint pinstripe design.
“The new Italy away kit was created with a lot of attention to detail,” Torsten Hochstetter, Global Creative Director at PUMA said at the unveiling. “Strong Italian cultural influences inspire the design, there is such richness in the heritage of Italian football and we had a lot to work with. We are proud of the end result and look forward to a big event in France next summer. We wish the Italian team well for the remainder of their qualification.”
The blue shorts also feature a pinstripe design and a thin gold stripe on each side.
The away kit comes complete with white socks, with a blue topstripe with gold trim, and Italian flag-styled stripe on the back.
