Iran unveiled their 2016/17 home jersey by new technical sponsor Givova on Wednesday. The Italian company’s debut offering stays very classic with white jersey with green and red details.
It is the green and red details that provide the depth to the jersey. The red v-neck collar has a 2/3 green border around the back of the collar. This 2-tone look is used on the sleeve cuffs and side paneling on the each side of the jersey.
The Iranian Football Federation badge is over the heart while the Givova logo is over the right chest.
Team Melli wore Uhlsport at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The jersey was so rare, even for the team, that players were told not to exchange jerseys after matches in Brazil. Some are wondering whether anyone would want to exchange for the new Iran jersey.
