Iran will not be allowed to exchange jerseys after matches but Argentina’s Lionel Messi won’t go away empty handed.  Team Melli’s captain Javad Nekounam is reportedly going to hand over a ‘BioBall’ to Messi.

The 32-panel soccer ball features an endangered species from each of the countries participating in this year’s tournament.  The Middle Eastern country featured the Asiatic Cheetah on the ball which was also depicted on their official team jersey.

The ‘BioBall’ was created by Mohammad Kebria, a professional painter, and was unveiled on International Day of Biodiversity on May 22.

Iranian journalist Alborz Habibi tweeted an image of the ball.
