As part of their Black History Month Collection, Nike have revealed a eye-catching edition of the Magista Obra cleats. The BHM Collection is inspired by the great feats of black athletes like Serena Williams, Kobe Bryant, Sanya Richards-Ross, Chris Paul and many others.

The stunning design features a “Pan African-inspired color palette, with custom geometric motifs” adapted to the familiar face of the Magista Obra.

France and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi has been chosen to be the ambassador of the BHM in soccer, wearing this special edition of the Magista Obra during PSG’s clash against Olympique Lyon for the Coupe de la Ligue Quarter-final.

Nike’s Black History month shoe campaign started with the Nike Air Force 1 in 2005 and has grown to include 28 products in various sports from tennis to basketball to football to running to Nike iD to the Jordan Brand and soccer.  The 2015 Black History Month soccer design featured the Nike Mercurial Superfly with Ghana international Kevin Prince Boateng debuting the look on-field.
