adidas has revealed the official match ball to be used in the 2016 Summer Olympics. Inspired by Rio de Janeiro, host of the competition, it acknowledges this city as the heart of Brazil, thus using the colors and graphic elements from the national flag. The design also represents the sidewalks from the iconic beaches of Rio, one of their main touristic attractions.

Errejota (Portuguese for RJ) is the name chosen for the new adidas ball. The ball features the same technical features introduced by the Brazuca in Brazil 2014, a symmetric 6 panel design and 3D surface to deliver aerodynamic movement and grip.

We won’t have to wait until next year to see this ball in action, as it will be used in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, where elite teams such as FC Barcelona, Club America and River Plate will clash in search of glory. adidas Errejota match ball will be soon available for purchase at WorldSoccerShop.com!
