Perfect with three win in their opening three EURO 2016 qualifiers, including this week’s 2-0 upset of World Cup semi-finalists the Netherlands, Iceland is one of Europe’s in-form national teams of the moment.
As the Nordic team look for their first appearance in a major tournament at France 2016, technical sponsor Errea and the Football Association of Iceland have launched the Iceland 2014/15 home kit.
Worn during Monday’s win over Holland, the shirt is in the classic blue of Strákarnir okkar (Our boys) with a thin red stripe bordered in white running across the chest area. The design brings all of the elements of the Icelandic national flag onto the kit. Iceland’s goalkeepers are wearing the same Mandarin collared design in black for their primary jersey.
With many soccer fans now supporting a team that came within a whisker of representing the smallest nation to qualify for the World Cup earlier this year, the Iceland 2014/15 home kit is sure to be in demand this holiday season.
