Coming off of the back of a dominant campaign, reigning Premier League Champions, Chelsea, have unveiled its new look adidas home kit for the 2015/16 season.
Set to be first worn during the club’s pre-season tour in the US, the kit has been launched as part of a new campaign – “If it’s not blue, it will be”, highlighting the team’s desire to dominate both domestically and in Europe next season.
Though at first glance a pretty standard Chelsea home kit – it is, after all, blue – adidas drew inspiration from several classic kits from the 80s. Specifically, the white and red trim at the collar, sleeves, shorts and socks along with the vertical pinstripes hark back to fan favourites from the past 30 years.
A truly unique feature on the 2015/16 kit comes in the form of a finger print woven onto a label on each shirt. A symbol of each fan’s identity, adidas have tried to symbolise the close relationship between club and fan by placing it on the shirt.

Another major change is that of sponsor. After a number of years with Samsung as lead sponsor, Yokohama Tires have taken over for the next five years.
Technology wise, the kit includes adidas’ latest innovations designed to allow players to move faster and be more comfortable. Climacool ventilation technology keeps the body cool and dry, while special stitching provides greater freedom of movement while maintaining durability.
The Chelsea 2015/16 home kit will be officially unveiled in Harlem on the 21st of July and will be available thereafter at WorldSoccerShop.
