The Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer revealed a new secondary jersey for the 2016 season, and it’s unlike anything Houston’s done before. It’s a remarkably fresh look for the club.
For the first time in club history, Houston’s new away jersey is black. The club’s trademark orange and Space City Blue return as the detail colors and to hold on to tradition. The crew collar is black with the light blue detail color used for the trim. This light blue is also used on the sleeve cuff.
Three-stripe trim on the sides are in a dark shade of grey, almost black.
The jersey’s main design element is an eye-catching three-tone orange chevron across the chest with an orange monochrome Dynamo crest over the heart. Two silver stars over the badge represent the back-to-back MLS Cup successes the Dynamo won in 2006 and 2007.
The neck tape at the back of the collar is orange and includes the club’s ‘Forever Orange’ in black.
‘DYNAMO’ is printed on the back outside of the collar.
The jock tag features the Texas state flag at the bottom of the jersey.
BHP Billiton returns as the shirt sponsor for the Dynamo for their second season.
The Houston Dynamo 2016 Away jersey will be available soon at World Soccer Shop.
