Roda Make A Frank Bid

Willem II have confirmed they have received an offer for wantaway defender Frank van der Struijk from Eredivisie rivals Roda JC.

The 23-year-old has a contract until the end of the 2008/09 season, but has turned down an extension.

Willem II are now prepared to listen to offers for the player, with Roda the likely destination if a fee can be agreed.

"Frank still has a contract for one more season with Willem II and he has informed us that he doesn't want to extend his stay," coach Andries Jonker told AD Sportwereld.

"We will listen to what Roda have to offer, but so far they haven't made us a real offer."

Defender Jose Valencia has verbally agreed a contract extension with Willem II, but Niels Volthoren, Steef Nieuwendaal, Cristiano and Thomas Baelum look set to leave the Tilburg club over the summer.
