New Ajax signing Dario Cvitanich has revealed his delight at signing a five-year contract with the Dutch club.
The 23-year-old Argentinian striker's move from Atletico Banfield was confirmed on Monday.
Cvitanich has scored six goals in the Argentinian league this season, but said he was looking forward to playing in Europe.
"This is a wonderful opportunity," the he told the club's official website.
"I will do my best for the team and I hope that we will win a lot of prizes and championships.
"I just spoke with Edgar Davids. Ajax have many stars, I can hardly wait to stand alongside them on one field."
Cvitanich's versatility to play in a number of forward positions could prove vital to his first-team opportunities with fellow South American Luis Suarez and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar preferred this season.
"In principal I can play in every position in the attack and I also have experience playing as an attacking midfielder," he added.
"I hope I'll soon get to understand the Ajax system."
