Striker Luis Suarez insists he will still be an Ajax player next season.

The Uruguayan has enjoyed an impressive campaign personally even though Ajax are not challenging for the title, and he set up both goals in the Amsterdammers 2-2 UEFA Cup draw with Marseille in midweek.

Suarez's contribution was not enough to stop Ajax going out of the competition, but he is attracting growing interest from across Europe.

Yet Suarez told Amsterdam broadcaster AT5: "I still have a contract for three years, so I will play for Ajax next season too.

"I am satisfied with the people there and with the team and I can still learn a lot.

"Of course every player wants to play Champions League football with a big team. But I still do have a contract."
