Borussia Monchengladbach have agreed a deal with Dutch side Heerenveen for the signing of midfielder Michael Bradley.

The USA international travelled to Germany on Monday to undergo a medical, having already agreed personal terms with the Bundesliga outfit.

The two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee on Saturday night, but the player remained with Heerenveen for their Eredivisie fixture with Volendam on Sunday.

The 21-year-old USA scored an impressive 15 goals in 33 games for Heerenveen last season and, according to Monchengladbach's director of sport Christian Ziege, will greatly increase coach Jos Luhukay's options in midfield.

"He is a versatile midfielder who brings with him a lot of experience for his age," he told the club's website.

"We hope that everything goes through and that we can complete the deal."

Bradley has played 22 times for the USA national team.
