"We want to continue to play the way we did in the first two games, that is the objective,” Ruud Van Nistelrooy said on the Euro 2008 site. “We put a lot of hard work in it to get to this level and we do not want to lose this momentum."
With the top spot secure the Dutch might rest some of their top players, such as the Real Madrid striker but that will have no impact on how the Oranje go into the match.
"We do not think like that, we'll go into the game as we always do. We'll go in with a clear focus, as we want to keep on going, keep on playing well. Like I said, we do not want to lose the momentum."
Van Nistelrooy added that this is his best time with the national team set up since first winning a cap in 1998 and admitted that he was somewhat ‘surprised’ at how well the team was playing in the Group of Death.
"We have played some good games before also, but we ourselves never expected to play like this either, we surprised ourselves a bit. But we train hard for it, work very well together, with a group of good people, so that is also the reason it goes so well."
