New Balance and Liverpool have rejuvenated a club classic in the form of the new 2015/16 away kit.

Liverpool are no strangers to white away kits, having first worn the colour from 1892-1896 and thereafter during some of the club’s iconic moments. The predominantly white aesthetic has been complemented by a gradient mesh jacquard offering depth and perspective and strong accents of red in the collar, crests and taping to the sleeves.

Though a classic design this kit represents a couple firsts. Not only is it New Balance’s first away kit (following Warrior’s rebranding) but. in being released during the club’s pre-season tour of Australia, it’s the first kit to have ever been unveiled outside Merseyside.

“We are very excited to launch the white LFC away kit in partnership with New Balance, I believe they have delivered a powerful, fresh take on an important part of our history,” Liverpool’s Chief Commercial Officer, Billy Hogan, said. “The white away kit is a popular choice with the players and one they will be proud to wear.”

Aside from its good looks, this new away kit features the latest materials and technology. A silicone taping offers a full 360 degree read, while unnecessary seaming has been replacing by darting and articulation. Elsewhere, bonded re-enforcement prints have been used to stabilize and strengthen key areas.

NB Dry technology has been incorporated to help keep the body cool and dry during periods of activity. The moisture wicking fabric released moisture away from the body and is anatomically fitted to form around the player’s body shape for ease of movement.

“The New Balance away kit looks great and the team are aware of past years where the Club has had many successes wearing white away kits,” goalkeeper Simon Mignolet said about the new look adding that hopefully it would bring some good luck to the team.  “Hopefully this kit can bring us luck away from home next season.”
