The U.S. men’s national team plays for a nation every time they step on the field but the U.S. military is on the front line protecting our freedoms every day.  In tribute and appreciation for all the military does for us, the American Outlaws and Veteran Tickets Foundation are raising money to send veterans to the USMNT vs Mexico soccer match at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA on October 10.

The game is of huge importance for both teams with the winner advancing to play in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia.  The Stars and Stripes and El Tri Colors earned their berths in the October 10 playoff as champions of the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup and 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup, respectively.

It is no secret among soccer fans that when these border rivals meet in large venues along the border that Mexican fans greatly outnumber U.S. fans.  The 2 teams last faced off against each other at the Rose Bowl in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup final and the crowd of 93,000+ was estimated to be 20:1 in favor of the ‘visitors.’

The fundraiser is off to a great start by AO chapters and fans across the nation and has raised over $20K since the launch on July 29.  But there is still more that needs to be raised to get as many veterans as possible to the game.  The challenge to all chapters is to raise $500.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to the Veteran Tickets Foundation (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization) to purchase and distribute tickets to veterans.

The goal of the campaign is to applaud our veterans and give our players the home field advantage they deserve while wearing the Red, White, and Blue.
