Germany Soccer Federation and adidas have revealed their new Home Kit, a testimony of their glory and achievements from the past. The return of a more traditional look will be very welcomed by the most traditional fans, while the young will feel drawn by the subtle modern details placed here and there.
The white jersey has round black neck, with a legend that reads “Designed & Engineered in Germany” with the national flag below it. As world champions, the Germans have earned the right to wear the patch that sits on the chest between adidas performance logo and their crest, furthermore strengthening the message that the new kit aims to deliver. A special graphic runs through the front of the shirt, showing a wave design inspired by the different positions occupied by the German National Team in their World Cup and European Championship record.
Their titles are also present on the jersey, represented by dates embroidered in both sleeves. 72-80-96 for their European Championship wins and 54-70-90-14 for the World Cups on their shelves. The back of the shirt is completely white, and the uniform will be completed with black shorts and socks. The latter feature a brand new design, and show their World Cup titles in from of four stars aligned on the front.
The German 2016 Home Kit is set to make its on-pitch debut next Friday, when Thomas Müller, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Manuel Neuer take on France in a international friendly.
