Hoffenheim have begun the task of building their squad for next season, making three new signings while also extending Daniel Haas' contract.
Brazilian forward Maicosuel Reginaldo joins the Bundesliga side from Botafogo in his homeland.
The 22-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the club in a deal reported to be around five million euros.
"I am looking forward to (coming to) Germany and Hoffenheim and meeting my Brazilian colleagues," he said on the club's official website.
"I have informed myself at great depth about Hoffenheim and the Bundesliga is shown on Brazilian television.
"I think I will settle in quickly and am looking forward to the first training sessions."
Maicosuel becomes the fourth Brazilian at Hoffenheim alongside Fabricio Silva Dornellas, Luiz Gustavo Dias and Carlos Eduardo Marques.
Hoffenheim have also added some home-grown talent by signing Christian Eichner from Karlsruhe, who were relegated to the second division at the weekend.
The 26-year-old was born close to Hoffenheim's stadium in Sinsheim and cannot wait to play his first game in the Rhein-Neckar Stadion.
"Of course I am relieved to still be able to play in the Bundesliga," he said. "I have a lot to thank Karlsruhe for and I will maintain the best memories of my time there.
"At the same time, I am obviously delighted to be able to play in my home region and, above all, my birth town of Sinsheim and I hope I can make my contribution to a successful season."
Hoffenheim, who will be entering their second year in the top flight next season, have also added another goalkeeper to their playing staff by signing Jens Grahl from Greuther Furth.
He will become third-choice behind Timo Hildebrand and Haas, who extended his contract by a year today.
"I am already looking forward to seeing all the lads again next season," Haas said. "I am obviously delighted by the faith the club have in me."
