Lille keeper Mickael Landreau will not make his debut for his new club for several months after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.
Landreau, who only signed from Paris St Germain on Monday, tore the ligaments in his right knee at the end of training on Friday.
"I did it on my own, on a bad contact," the 30-year-old told L'Equipe. "My first thought was for (coach) Rudi Garcia and the club who did so much to bring me in."
Landreau will undergo surgery on Sunday and will be sidelined for several months.
