Ghana star John Mensah has admitted he wants to move to England this summer.
The Rennes defender has long been linked with a move to Reading, while Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is also thought to be keen on him.
And Mensah admits he would love the chance to move to the Premier League, with a possible move to Fratton Park making things "interesting".
Former Rennes team-mate John Utaka moved to Pompey last year and is understood to have recommended him to Redknapp.
Mensah told The Sun: "I would be happy to join him. I think it is a good place for an African player.
"In the past Reading spoke about me and I know they are still interested.
"But with Portsmouth joining the picture it has made it even more interesting."
However, Mensah claims there are also other Premier League clubs interested, saying: "They are not the only top English clubs keen on me."
