Paris Saint-Germain striker Pedro Pauleta has confirmed he will retire from football after next Saturday's Ligue 1 match at Sochaux.
The former Portugal international's contract at PSG expires at the end of this season and he is set to return to his native country in the summer.
But he confirmed his days as a player will come to an end next weekend.
"I think it is finished," he said. "As a player, I am going to finish my career at Paris St Germain."
The 35-year-old did not score in PSG's 1-1 draw with St Etienne on Saturday, his last game at the Parc des Princes.
But the club's fans paid their respects to the player by applauding him off the pitch following his emotional speech to the crowd after the final whistle.
PSG climbed out of the relegation zone with the draw and they now know a win over Sochaux will secure their Ligue 1 status for another season.
"We have to get a result at Sochaux," added Pauleta, PSG's leading scorer of all time with 109 goals in his five years in the capital.
"Staying up is the big objective of the club, but it is also mine."
