France Football Federation and Nike unveiled the new 2015 France away jersey that celebrates France’s style and elegance on and off the field.
The three national colors – blue, white and red – appear on a complimentary all white kit with a marinière pattern inspired by the same design worn by the French Navy. Blue appears on back of the collar, while red is extended to the shorts to create a sense of speed when the players are on the field.
The shorts will be entirely blue, with seamless stripes of red running down the side. The socks will be white, each one with six horizontal bands. France’s iconic cockerel continues to be based on the crest used by France in 1958 World Cup, where they ended in the third place. An inner pennant is featured on the inside of the collar to represent the French flag, highlighting national pride and brotherhood.
According to Nike, “The French boast a unique allure, and always seek to play with elegance and unpredictable creativity.” and “While the new kit features Nike’s signature style and passion, it has also been designed to offer players the very latest in performance innovation, kit technology and environmental sustainability.”
