After releasing a very restrained 2014 France home jersey in November of last year, France unveiled their 2014 World Cup away soccer jersey on Tuesday.

The France away jersey has more flair featuring the ‘Marinière,’ a classic French design, that focuses on the tonal grey mariners stripes.

France_away_2The grey stripes are subtle enough to allow the other unique elements of the jersey to show proud.

France_away_3Like with the home jersey, the jersey features a new team crest.  A blue cockerel stands along free from the constraints of a badge and that was worn on the national team jerseys of 1958.  The crest includes the 1 star from winning the 1998 World Cup above the cockerel with the FFF of the French Federation underneath.

France_away_4The jersey has a 2-button stand collar.  The inside of the collar has a small red, white, and blue pennant representing the colors of the French flag.

The full France away kit will have midnight navy blue shorts with a denim effect and white socks.

Raphaël Varane, Blaise Matuidi, Paul Pogba, Yohan Cabaye and Mamadou Sakho were on hand at the unveiling.  The players made personal pledges to make the nation proud this summer.
