Fluminense Football Club are following up their 2014 launch of an orange third jersey with an equally historic look for 2015. The Brazilian side unveiled the green third jersey at the adidas Store at Barra Shopping last month.
“It’s the first time the Fluminense uses the predominant green color in the shirt. As was the orange shirt, green shirt promises to be a bestseller. This is the flat with modern and elegant proposal, is very beautiful and will fall in like the tricolor,” Dilson Motta, Fluminense marketing manager, said at the event.
The Brazilian club, formed in 1902, promoted the new look as ‘the new green hope.’ The pea green jersey has a white polo collar and the adidas 3-Stripes running from the collar down the top of the shoulders and side of the sleeves and with a wide white cuff on the sleeve.
Fluminense is best known for their traditional maroon-and-green vertical striped jersey with white shorts and socks home kit that has been used since the 1920’s. The away jersey is usually white with a vertical maroon and green stripe down the center of the jersey.
