Brazilian giants Fluminense FC signed a record 5-year deal with Dryworld Industries for the Canadian company to be their technical sponsor and provide jerseys, training gear, and other equipment for the team starting in February 2016.
Dryworld will also provide innovative product designs for the players as well as the latest insights into advances in sports science to improve performance on the field.
“Fluminense has always been characterized as a pioneering club. This is how we work. Thinking about the best for the club, innovating without fear of challenges. Fluminense and DRYWORLD share the idea of being innovative and winners together,” said club president Peter Siemsen.
Fluminense plays in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the top tier of Brazilian football and the Campeonato Carioca, the state league of Rio de Janeiro. The club as well as the location, the site of this summer’s Olympic Games, is the perfect platform for the brand to launch more sports technology to the global sports world.

The club is well-known for their maroon-and-green vertical striped jersey with white shorts and socks.
Fluminense FC’s jersey will be made from the new DrySkin technology which was designed to stabilize a player’s heat signature, manage moisture, and allow freedom of movement while wearing the jersey.

adidas has served as the Brazilian club’s jersey and apparel sponsor since 1996, the longest jersey and apparel sponsorship in Brazil. They play home matches at the Maracana Stadium.
The Fluminense FC 2016 Home Soccer Jersey will be available at World Soccer Shop once it is released.
