Flamengo are the most popular club in the iconic futebol playing nation of Brazil. Over 40 million people in the nation support the five time Brazilian Serie A champions, and their fanbase extends to every corner of Brazil from their home in Rio de Janeiro.

The scarlet and black hoops are a national staple of sports in Brazil, as Flamengo are a multisport institution, and have won titles in other sports. Although it’s early in the season and the club haven’t found their rhythm yet, Flamengo always aims for the top. That said, adidas has given the side a neat new primary look which they will wear for the rest of the Brasileirão campaign.

This new home kit has a scarlet button-up black polo collar, exhibiting style. The shirt has the traditional scarlet and black hooped look, but both sides of the shirt has a black layer of piping, breaking up the hooped look. The black extends to the sleeves. The sleeve stripes adidas are known for are in scarlet, with some trim and sleeve cuffs. Flamengo’s trademark interlocking CRF emblem appears embroidered in white on the chest, with a gold star on top. The shorts come in white, and come with scarlet and black trim at the bottom, and the scarlet three stripes on each side. The socks have the scarlet and red hoops, with a scarlet three stripe trim over the black layer, completing the look. Caixa returns as the club’s main sponsor.
