Jaime Vardy got back to scoring form for Leicester City with a goal in his consecutive home match, as the Foxes topped the Premier League with a 2-1 victory. The vultures are definitely circling over José Mourinho as manager of Chelsea FC, as the Blues have lost their ninth game of the season, falling to 16th. West Ham United and Stoke City played to an entertaining 0-0 draw on Matchday 16. West Ham, sitting on eighth on the table after this match, have the same amount of points after sixteen rounds last season with twenty-four (the Hammers were in fourth place at this point last season).

Ayoze Perez’ 90+ goal was the difference in Newcastle United’s 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs’ fourteen game unbeaten streak ends with a defeat at White Hart Lane. This is the third straight Premier League road win for the Toon in this fixture against Tottenham, and first come-from behind away win since the same Spurs team last season.
