FC Porto have revealed a stunning design for their 2016/17 third jersey to complete their ‘Outro Nível’ (‘Another Level’) campaign. Yellow returns for the first time since the 2010/11 season, and is used to cause an impression on the opposition.

A striking zig zag pattern stands out on the horizontal stripes that occupy the front panel. Some blue accents are there to create contrast and a more eye-catching look.

“The kit stands out, and I really like the design,” said rising star Ruben Neves. “I know the team and the fans will too. We’re looking forward to shine when we wear this on the pitch.”

The phrase “Porto! Porto! Porto!”, extracted from the club’s anthem, is written on the inner tape of the v-cut collar, with the club’s name sitting proudly on the top back. The anthem excerpt is also present on the waist hemline.

FC Porto crest appears in full color over the heart, with New Balance performance logo and MEO sponsorship painted in blue.

New Balance Dry fabric allows players to keep cool under any circumstance, with laser cut and bonded eyelets under the arms combining with mesh panels on the sides to increase air circulation.

The new kit is completed by yellow shorts and socks with blue accents, and will be mainly worn during cup games, including the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League, in which they’ll participate in the play-off round.

“The kit completes an exciting collection for the season 2016/17,” said Richard Wright, General Manager of New Balance soccer. “The combination of horizontal stripes paired against dissecting geometric shapes, along with the NB Dry fabric, has resulted in a kit that is visually dynamic, that also allows our players to perform at the highest levels.”
