FC Bayern Munich has unveiled a new kit set honoring their success in the UEFA Champions League from their long-time kit supplier, adidas. Dubbed as the “Champions League” kit, this will be used when Bayern plays its matches in the tournament’s Group Stage.
The strip is a very dark gray shade with black, gray and silver details. The kit’s main feature is a single red stripe that streaks down the left side.
The shirt has adidas’ three stripes sleeve end halfway, in silver. Cutting off the stripes is a sleeve design in a different mesh texture that wraps around to the back. A similar texture is also on the v-neck collar.
At the shirt’s nape, the message “Mia San Mia” (“We are who we are”) appears above an arched stripe. Both details are in gray.
The club’s main sponsor, Deustche Telekom, appears on the front of the shirt, in silver.
The red stripe is the club’s main design, and it appears on every part of the kit’s left side. This vertical stripe runs through the club’s badge on the shirt, and through the shorts, and even onto the left sock. FCB is present on the right sock, in gray.
Also present on the kit is the 2013 Club World Cup winner’s patch at the center of the shirt. The back of the shirt doesn’t have the team name present over the numbers like the home and away, and has the player name in its’ place.
