Everton FC and Umbroo have revealed their new away kit for the upcoming 2016/17 season. The new jersey pays homage to the 1890/91 team that won their first ever English League.
The traditional jersey boasts a dark navy body with an inner salmon layer. Salmon is featured prominently on the v-cut collar and the sleeve cuffs to create a striking visual. The club’s badge, along with Umbro and Chang logos, are featured in white for additional contrast.
Like the home shirt, a special homage to Goodison Park (The Toffees’ home ground) is placed on the inner neck. A criss-cross graphic inspired by Archibald Leicht’s architectural design of the stadium appears in blue and white, accompanied by the field’s coordinates below.
Dark navy shorts and socks with navy and white detailing complete the new Everton alternative look.
“I feel very confident in this kit and cannot wait for the new season to be able to wear it,” said Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori. “Everton’s history is fascinating and it’s nice that we can incorporate part of the Club’s heritage into the kit.”
Everton 2016/17 away jersey will be available to purchase at World Soccer Shop.
